He lectures frequently before orthodontic groups and dental societies, and serves as a consultant for dental continuing education study groups. As an instructor at Children's National Medical Center, he teaches orthodontics to post-graduate students. His most recent paper was selected for presentation at the national meeting of the American Association of Orthodontists. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and has had special training in the area of Temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders. Dr. Shefferman has been practicing in the Washington, D.C area since 1990. Not only has Dr. Shefferman been selected as an Invisalign Premier Provider, but he is also one of the top 100 Invisalign providers in the country. Every year, Dr. Shefferman is proud to receive awards from the Washington D.C. Dental Society for completing over 60 hours of Continuing Education. For the past 14 years, he has been voted by his peers as one of the Top Orthodontists in the entire Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area by Washingtonian Magazine, or view the PDF. Dr. Shefferman is a Native of Washington D.C. and has lived in the area since 1961 where he lives with his wife Tracy and sons, Jason and Kevin. He enjoys tennis, golf, skiing, cycling and model trains. He is currently involved with the Cub Scouts and Little League Baseball. |
